The daily launch game

One board. One day. Real dollars decide the rank.

launchday is a launch leaderboard with no votes, no karma, and no algorithm to please. Whoever's launch is backed by the most money today holds #1 — publicly, until midnight UTC wipes the board and the day goes into the archive forever.

  1. 1.Launch onto today's board

Drop your product's URL, pick a category, put $1 or more behind it. No account, no signup — the URL is the identity and Stripe handles the payment. Most listings are live seconds after the payment lands.

  2. 2.Dollars are the ranking

Rank is simply the total backed today: the biggest tank holds #1 and the tallest tower in Launch City. Anyone can back any listing — forty fans at $5 beat one founder at $150. Ties go to whoever got there first.

  3. 3.Hold your rank — or take one back

Every listing shows exactly what it costs to claim its spot. When someone passes you, you'll know while the day is still open — the overtake email exists so you can answer it. That tug-of-war is the whole game.

  4. 4.Midnight UTC: the board resets

A day is atomic. Nothing carries over, nobody camps on yesterday's win, and tomorrow starts blank — the same fair fight every 24 hours. Relaunching on a later day is a brand-new launch.

  5. 5.The day is archived forever

Final standings freeze into a permanent page — a dated, linkable record that your product held #2 on that date. Share the link, embed the rank badge on your site, point at it in your launch recap.

And the city itself is for rent

The blimp, the plane, the balloon, the boat, the car, and five skyline buildings are sponsor surfaces, sold by the week: pay once and your brand rides the scene for seven days from the moment you buy— no bidding, no reset. Buildings are $20 a week, moving vehicles $40. Your logo is pulled from your own site automatically, every placement links out from your surface, and each of your seven days is recorded on that day's permanent archive page. Sponsorships clear a quick review before showing; current and past sponsors are listed on the sponsor page. Sponsor Launch City →

Two straight answers

What am I actually buying?
A sponsored placement: launch-day eyeballs, a defensible rank, and the permanent archive page. Outbound links carry rel=sponsored as Google's paid-link policy requires — we sell attention, never “SEO juice.”
Is it refundable?
No. The board moves in real time and a placement is consumed the moment it renders. Listings that break a rule are removed without refund — the rules are one page and worth the read before you pay.

The fine print lives on Rules and FAQ.
