Frequently asked questions

What am I actually buying?
A sponsored placement on today's launch board. Your money goes into your listing's total; the biggest total holds #1. It is advertising for one day — launch-day eyeballs, a defensible rank, and a permanent archive page — not an ongoing subscription.
What happens at midnight?
The board resets at 00:00 UTC every day. Final standings freeze on a permanent archive page (/day/that-date), and tomorrow's board starts blank. Money paid at 23:59 buys the rest of that day — a day is atomic, nothing carries over.
Can other people pay into my listing?
That's the point. Pay into the same URL on the same day and it adds up. Share the listing link with your team and fans — the share button writes the message for you.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no login anywhere on the buying side. Enter a URL, pay, done. The receipt email has your permalink.
Can I launch again?
Yes. Every day is its own board, so the same URL can launch again on a later day — a v2, a big update, a relaunch. It gets a fresh listing and a fresh archive entry, exactly like launching on Product Hunt twice.
Why isn't my listing showing?
Listings on known launch platforms (Product Hunt, GitHub, the app stores, Steam, itch.io) go live the moment payment lands. Everything else is reviewed — usually live within a couple of minutes via our automated check, with unclear cases held for a human. Your payment is already counted either way.
What's the badge?
An SVG you embed on your site. It shows your live rank until midnight, then your final result forever — 'Won #1 — Aug 31, 2026'. The embed code is on your listing page and in the recap email.
Does a listing here help my SEO?
Not directly, and we're honest about that: outbound links from the board are rel=sponsored nofollow, as Google's paid-link policy requires. What you get is launch-day traffic, the archive page, and the badge on your own site linking to your result.
Someone listed my product without asking. Can I remove it?
Yes. Write in via feedback from an address that proves it's yours. Verified owner requests always win. There is no refund to whoever paid, and the removal goes on the public takedowns log.
Refunds?
No. The board resets daily by design, and that is stated at checkout. If a listing is rejected at review the payment is refunded from Stripe by hand; that is the only case.
What can't be listed?
Invite links, adult content, anything aimed at minors, trading signals or promised returns, gambling services, piracy or illegal marketplaces, hate or harassment, fake 'official' claims, and bare waitlists with no product behind them. The rules page spells it out.
